Martin Corben has a strong background in radio, management and training.
Before joining AFTRS OPEN, Martin was with ABC Local Radio from 1990 following a number of years in community radio. He had been a reporter, producer and radio presenter in addition to being Regional Manager for ABC North Coast for 10 years. Since relocating to Sydney in 2006, Martin had a number of roles within ABC Radio as Cross Media reporter and trainer. Most recently, Martin was the Content Director for 702 ABC Sydney.
Martin's training background began with NSW TAFE, and has since expanded to include stints with ABC Training and internationally with AusAid/ABC projects in South Africa.
Martin's a keen traveller, linguist and baker and enjoys getting about on his electric bicycle.
As the Regional Program Manager at AFTRS OPEN Martin is developing a range of courses and regional partnerships.
