CHRIS MCKEITH
Head of Sound
Chris McKeith is an experienced sound mixer/recordist who has worked on a range of short drama films, documentaries and television programs. He is currently a Lecturer at AFTRS focussing on post-production techniques and technologies for Sound.
Chris has recorded and mixed orchestral and contemporary music
works and is an audio consultant and trainer for film and video.
Many of the films he has worked on have been nominated for a
variety of awards including the Academy Awards®, Motion Picture
Sound Editors Awards, Australian Film Institute Awards, the
Australian Screen Sound Guild
and Screen Composers Guild.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Graduate Diploma of
Education, is a Digidesign Certified Operator and Instructor (Post
and Music). Prior to joining AFTRS, Chris produced and recorded
music projects, managed a music studio and worked in sound and
lighting for Television.
