MARK COLLIER

Director, Radio

Mark Collier's broadcast career began as a radio announcer in regional NSW after studying Law at the University of Sydney.  Mark then moved to TV presentation in regional centres before joining 2UE in Sydney as a journalist in the newsroom, going on to become News Director at 2UE, Programme Director, General Manager, then Managing Director. He has also presented successful current affairs and talk programs on 2UE and more recently 2GB.

 

Mark also spent several years as a News Editor at Channel 7 in Sydney.

After leaving radio to become Manager of News Limited's Magazines
Division, he was appointed General Manager, Sales & Marketing, at Australia's first pay-tv company, Galaxy.

 

Mark also spent five years at the ABC, from 2000-2005, as Head, National Talk Networks, with management and editorial content responsibility for Radio National, ABC NewsRadio and ABC Rural Radio and he has also been a judge for the prestigious Walkley Awards for journalism and the Australian Commercial RADIO Awards (The ACRA's) as well as contributing to the development of the Communications (Media) award course at Charles Sturt University.
