film and television industry...
- AFTRS takes applications just once a year, generally at the start of September for intake into the following year.
- AFTRS holds its annual OPEN DAYS and course information sessions in September.
- The 2013 Open Days will be held on September 7 & 8
- 2014 Courses will be available to view on September 1, 2013
The Producing department at AFTRS offers the following POSTGRADUATE courses specifically for producers:
- GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PRODUCING
Want to create dynamic productions and be part of the
next generation of producers?
You will acquire a deep understanding of storytelling,
screen culture and the economic realities of the
screen industry. You will learn how to; reach audiences,
speak to government bodies, financiers, distributors &
broadcasters, acquire intellectual properties, finance projects,
manage creative people and work collaboratively. You will have the
chance to form productive relationships with fellow students
through shared screen exercises.

- MASTER OF SCREEN ARTS
Explore and develop your own creative process and
voice
An in-depth conceptual and practically focused course that will
help you achieve mastery in your chosen area of
specialisation. You will be supported to map out your own
path in what is an increasingly competitive marketplace
collaborating with others to achieve a distinctive
work whilst exploring the relevant theories of filmmaking.
You will be expected to develop and make an individual work or work
collaboratively on a joint project.
