The Screen Business department at AFTRS currently offers the following postgraduate level courses specifically for those interested in pursuing a screen business career:

 

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN SCREEN BUSINESS


ARE YOU LOOKING TO BUILD A SUSTAINABLE CAREER IN THE MEDIA OR SCREEN CONTENT INDUSTRIES?


This course will take you on a journey through the various disciplines required to become a successful media executive, screen producer, or business owner. You will learn the basics of financial analysis and the commercial imperatives that drive investors, and how to build a persuasive business case. You will critically evaluate your own managerial abilities, and learn effective methods for leading creative teams. On top of this, you will have the opportunity to work on a business or creative project of your choosing, and develop it to the point of market readiness. You will be mentored by leading practitioners in the industry in a structured, supervised environment. Most importantly, you will be surrounded by a group of highly-motivated, talented peers who will work with you throughout the course, becoming part of your lifelong professional network.

 

 

MASTER OF SCREEN ARTS & BUSINESS


ARE YOU PART OF THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS IN THE MEDIA AND SCREEN CONTENT INDUSTRIES?


AFTRS is offering a limited number of places for a two-year, part-time Master's degree. This course will take you on a journey through the various disciplines required to become a leader in the media and screen content industries. You will study some of the great texts of politics, economics, and philosophy, learn how to make persuasive case in business, finance and the public arena, and gain deep insights into leadership and senior management. Working in groups you will take on a brief for an important shift in public policy, and go to work for a media company planning a major new project. You will also work on a project of your own, supervised by the School's expert staff. Most importantly, you will be surrounded by a group of highly-motivated, talented peers who will work with you throughout the course, becoming part of your lifelong professional network.
